The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has filed a tac evasion case against one of its employees who owns a software management company.

BIR Commissioner Romeo D. Lumagui, Jr. said the agency's employee manipulated the point of sales accounting machines (POS) of his clients to evade taxes.

He said the case was filed before the Department of Justice but the name of the respondent was not disclosed.

The initial estimated revenue loss from the tampered sales machines is over P6 billion.
