Tricycle driver, minor arrested in Pasay City drug bust

A tricycle driver and a 16 year-old boy were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the combined team of the Pasay police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Tuesday, May 9. Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspects as Jomarie Chester Cruz, 24, a tricycle driver; and alias "Adrian."

Uy said the suspects were arrested at around 5:30 p.m. along Barangay 60, Zone 7, Pasay City. He said members of PDEA coordinated with the SDEU for the arrest of the suspects who were both listed in the police drug watch list as street level individuals (SLI). The city police chief said confiscated from the suspects were 5.3 grams of shabu worth P36,040; a black coin purse, the P500 buy-bust money, and P1,000 boodle money. The suspects were detained at the police custodial facility and were charged for illegal possession of drugs.
