PanaCast 20 is the 'pro' of webcams

Jabra has always had some interesting devices to show. Their audio hardware has always ranked pretty high in our eyes and we’re always interested to see what things they bring to the table. We’ve always viewed them as devices built for necessities, to improve workspaces–for businesses and employee comfort.  Jabra now opens a door into a new foray. Webcams. Built and designed to improve workspaces, while making video conferences look sleek and cool.  Which brings us to the PanaCast 20. It’s a metal-built webcam, giving it a little weight, which is fine, considering the feel and look of it. It looks solid, the top-tier kind. It looks cool and even cooler while on your display. Resolution kicks in at 4K, 3840 x 2160. It offers 30fps, three built-in microphones, 90-degree field of view, and lossless times six digital zoom. Again, lossless. Which means you can zoom up to six times and still see clearly the face of the person who’s sitting at the back of the conference room. No one gets to hide from the PanaCast 20.  One of the most important things to consider about the PanaCast 20, is that it’s built for businesses. It’s designed to make video conferences easier and more portable to use. Inside this metallic webcam is an AI to automatically adjust the video settings, such as improving the quality based on the lighting. It can zoom in and out on its own, focusing on who’s speaking, and manages to follow them around without putting them off the frame. In short, as long as it can see you, it will follow you. Like I said, no one gets to hide from the PanaCast 20.  There’s also a great feature where it uses both zoom in and zoom out. This lets you focus on the speaker, while getting a closer look of what they’re presenting. It’s quite handy for It’s hard not to continue admiring how the PanaCast 20 looks. Some serious engineering has been done into making this look the way it is. It has this style that sets it apart from the rest of its competitors. Being built in metal greatly helps with that.  I have used the PanaCast 20 in video calls through Zoom and Messenger. I’ve also used it with OBS to experiment on streaming. All of those tests yielded promising and satisfying results. Though, there were times when the light captured by the PanaCast 20 was too much, resulting in overexposure, especially in a room full of white walls.  The built-in microphones were sufficient for most types of meetings. You can stand at the far end of your room and be confident your voice will be heard clearly through the other side of the screen. But if you were to rely solely on the microphones for other purposes, such as audio recording or streaming, then you’d need a dedicated microphone for that. The PanaCast 20’s microphones simply get the job done in ensuring a two-way communication in full clarity while keeping things mobile.  Speaking of mobile, the PanaCast 20 comes with a very premium-looking bag. It’s not a large one. But just enough to fit the PanaCast 20 in and its type-C USB. And you’re ready to head on out.  The PanaCast 20 is a solid and powerful webcam. It looks professional and its style is well polished. The features it offers also makes it stand out among the rest of the competition. But again, the main focus of the PanaCast 20 is for businesses conducting video conferencing, especially these days when hybrid solutions are more common than before.
