Miss Universe franchise owner reveals apologizing to Catriona Gray

Remember the time when Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray met Thai businesswoman and media mogul Anne Jakrajutatip late last year? Many were curious as to what they talked about while standing on stage holding hands. She even re-created the scenario, with Boy Abunda standing in for Catriona. "I respect her so much and it was the first time we came across, we see each other," she related. Adding how she told Catriona, "I am Anne Jakrajutatip, I come here and say: 'I do apologize (for) whatever happened in the past, but I'm so glad you're here in Thailand. Welcome to the family of JKN and also Miss Universe Organization. I love you, my dear, from the bottom of my heart." Boy then asked Anne why she apologized to Catriona but she declined to answer, relating simply "I don't have to answer." According to her, she just wants to clear the air between them. "Right now, clear, off the air," she stressed. "I just need to do it," she added. "From now on, we have to work together, so just put the past aside and don't talk, don't mention about it again - at all." Note that Catriona and Anne have something in common: Clint Bondad. Catriona was in a six-year relationship with the hunk model-actor. The two broke up in 2019, shortly after Catriona's Miss Universe stint. Clint was later seen getting chummy with Anne. Anne revealed in 2020 that Clint lived with her for months. She was quick to shut off malicious insinuations reiterating Clint is "like a little brother" to her. In the show's "Fast Talk" segment, Anne mentioned Catriona as her "favorite beauty queen."
