The payout involved a total of 14 projects implemented under the three programs in city barangays. Mayor John Dalipe, who attended the distribution, thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and the participating national government agencies for the Labor Day benefit package. Dalipe described the package as a “fitting tribute for the greatness and heroism of laborers.” The Labor Day program here also included the Kadiwa para sa Manggagawa, a venue where farmers in this city were able to sell their goods directly to consumers and a job fair participated in by hundreds of jobseekers. These events were the highlights of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo flagship program for Labor Day with the theme, “Pabahay, Bilihing Abot Presyo, Benepisyo ng Matatag na Trabaho para sa Manggagawang Pilipino.”
