Chinese woman arrested for swindling in Parañaque City

A Chinese woman was arrested allegedly for swindling a compatriot of P2,300,000 inside a hotel and casino on Monday, May 1,  in Parañaque City.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect, identified as Chen Yu alias Cheng Ye, 30, was arrested at around 5:10 a.m. in Okada Manila in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.
 
According to the police report, the suspect asked the victim, Zhao Zhimin, 27, to give her cash amounting to P2,300,000 in exchange for 290,000 RMB via online payment.
 
The suspect ,after getting the money, allegedly refused to pay the victim and caused trouble by shouting at Zhimin.
 
The alerted security guard brought the victim and the suspect to the Parañaque City police Tambo substation for creating trouble inside the hotel and casino.
 
Yu was detained at the police custodial facility and a case for violation of Art 315 of RPC (swindling) was filed against her.
