ZAMBOANGA CITY – Almost 4,000 vacancies were available in a job fair organized by the Department of Labor and Employment on Labor Day in a mall here.

The job fair was organized by the DOLE regional office in collaboration with the city government in celebration of the 121st Labor Day with the theme, “Pabahay, Bilihing Abot Presyo, Benepisyo ng Matatag na Trabaho para sa Manggagawang Pilipino.” Hundreds of jobseekers trooped to the job fair to apply for jobs offered by some 30 local employers from the canning and fishing industries, hotel, hospital, manpower services, food, insurance, and motor vehicle sectors. Four overseas employers also offered jobs for those interested to work abroad. DOLE regional Director Albert Gutib described the job fair as one of the highlights of this year’s Labor Day celebration.
