Radio Veritas chairman Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula led the concelebrated thanksgiving mass with Radio Veritas president Fr. Anton Pascual, Radio Veritas Asia general manager Fr. Victor Sadaya, CMF and Fr. Mico Dellera.

Fr. Pascual said the mission to help spread the Word of God continues for Radio Veritas. The faith-based station, he said, will fight the proliferation of fake news with the Good News of our Lord.

"We will continue to strengthen the faith of the people through concrete actions, more witnessing to the Good News. Radio Veritas will help promote the truth in the face of fake news and misleading information. We will spread the truth that is rooted in the Word of God,” Fr. Pascual said over Radio Veritas.

The Church leader said they will also strengthen their programs for the poor and the needy in partnership with Caritas Manila, the social action arm of the Archdiocese of Manila. Fr. Pascual is also the executive director of Caritas Manila.

Meanwhile, Papal Nuncio Archbishop Charles John Brown cited the work that is being done by the station in spreading the Word of God. The Papal envoy said the anniversary of Radio Veritas on an Easter Sunday was most appropriate as it communicates the message of Christ.

Founded on April 11, 1969, as an instrument for evangelization, Radio Veritas continues with its vision to become the leading Social Communication Ministry for truth and new evangelization based on its mission ‘To expand the Church in multimedia and establish a center for information and communication’ that is based on ‘Faith and Honesty, Creativity and Innovativeness.’
