3 drown in Pangasinan on Black Saturday

DAGUPAN CITY – Three persons drowned in Pangasinan on Black Saturday. Police identified the victims as Enrique Espinosa, 70, of Barangay Pagatpat, Santa Cruz, Zambales; Johny Lingayo, 52, of Panta St., San Vicente, Baguio City, and a resident of Tarlac. Espinosa and five companions were having a picnic in Balaki Island, Barangay Poblacion, Infanta when he decided to swim in a restricted part of the island. The victim was later on seen by a caretaker floating in the area. Lingayo was found lifeless in the swimming pool of a resort in Barangay Bulaoen West, Sison. The victim from Tarlac was carried away by strong waves while swimming in a beach here. The body of the victim was found floating at sea and was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
