CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 on Sunday, April 9, said 1,056 wanted persons were arrested in the Caraga region in the first quarter of this year.
PRO-13 Director Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II, citing the quarterly report of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDM), said 29 were most wanted persons on the regional level, 45 on the provincial level, 59 on the city and municipal levels, and 923 were other wanted persons.
The Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) arrested the most number of wanted persons with 297 – five regional, one provincial, 19 city, and 272 other wanted persons.
The Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO) was second with 227, three regional, nine provincial, three city and municipal, and 212 other wanted persons.
Third was Agusan del Sur PPO with 175, eight regional, 14 provincial, 16 city and municipal, and 137 other wanted persons.
“These figures bespeak our commitment to account for immediately those with warrants of arrest especially those involved in heinous crimes,” Labra said. “We go after all wanted persons to prevent them from committing more crimes,” he added.
Labra thanked arresting units who gave their best shot and showed their firm resolve to achieve these notable accomplishments.
Last Feb. 28, the regional Top 1, 2, and 3 most wanted persons were arrested by the Regional Intelligence Unit 13 and Las Nieves Municipal Police Station (MPS) through alias warrants of arrests in Las Nieves, Agusan del Sur.
