Janno Gibb's rejoinder to 'Tumaba ka' comment trends

Janno Gibbs earned mixed reactions sharing his exchange with a former showbiz colleague. The actor-singer posted on social media how the person told him casually “Tumaba ka ha.” Although offended, he let it pass. He simply asked the guy what he is up to, to which he replied, “Oh I’m retired already.” He then shot back: “Oh that’s why you look old.” Some thought Janno rude but others deemed his reply appropriate. Several showbiz friends chimed in. Yayo Aguila said, “Nice one...APIR!” Martin Nievera wrote, “I hate that! I get that all the time and I always ask myself how some people can be so comfortable at being tactless and say such things, but I learned also that through the years and after many “scratching my head” moments at such comments that believe it or not some mean it in a good way. Like, “you look happy!” “You look healthy!” “You look successful” and not so much, “oh my god you look like a walking talking condominium!” Tactless ? Or being too comfortable?? Whatever it is, it hurts, yes? Ayyyy...” The post has since earned more than 4,000 likes.
