CEBU CITY – Police seized suspected shabu worth P7.4 million from an ex-convict in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bulacao, Talisay City, Cebu on Black Saturday.

Police identified the suspect as Patrick Abing Igoy, 33. Lt. Col. Mark Lester Eteroza, chief of the intelligence unit of the Cebu Police Provincial Office, said Igoy was listed as a high-value individual in the database of suspected drug pushers operating in the province. Esteroza said that at least a kilo of shabu valued at P7.4 million was seized from the suspect. Igoy was apprehended on Sta. Lucia Road past midnight after he sold shabu worth P50,000 to a poseur-buyer. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect.
