After giving birth to a wonderful baby boy, award-winning power diva Angeline Quinto and her partner Nonrev Daquina are discussing marriage.

Hindi pa this year (ang wedding). Wala pa talaga kaming date," said Angeline at the relaunch of her baby products called Twinqle at Dean and Deluca Restaurant n Timog, Quezon City recently.

(We've already talked about it. I just told him I don't want to rush it. But for now, our priority is Sylvio. It's not this year (the wedding). We don't really have a date yet.)

'Yung nanay kasi niya nasa US. Uuwi raw sila rito. Doon na kaya kami magpakasal sa America?"

(Also, his mother has been asking me for a long time. His mother is in the US. They are going back to the Philippines. Can we get married there in America?)

On April 27, Sylvio will turn one-year-old. Angeline said that she was planning a party for her son. (It's not a big party, but I want to invite our family, close friends and Sylvio's godfathers and godmothers.)

When she gave birth to her son, Sylvio, Angeline, 32, realized what a wonderful experience it is to become a mother.

Now medyo nakakapagtratabho na ako at tumatanggap na ng ibang gigs," said Angeline in response questions about whether she was sleeping well. (I'm quite okay and I'm getting back to sleep unlike when he was only a few months old. I had a bit of a hard time there. Now I'm able to work a bit and accept other gigs.)

On Sylvio's milestone, Angeline said she was emotional when she heard her son uttered the word mama. "Gusto kong maiyak sa tuwa noong unang sinabi niya yung momma. Gusto kong ipaulit. Sabi nila mas magiging malapit s'ya sa akin dahil una niya akong tinawag." (I wanted to cry with joy when he first said mama. I want him to say it again. They said he would be closer to me because he called me first.)

Angeline also shared her realizations about being a first-time mom.

(There are no lessons in becoming a mother, and it is really not an easy job.)

(When Sylvio was born, I was very afraid to touch him because he was so small. And then a nurse told me, ma'am, I'm not going to teach you (to hold him) just try. Then I held him and I knew how.)

"Being a mother is automatic when you see the child. I can do everything with the help of Nonrev. When I'm not at home, he's the one who takes care of Sylvio.)

Angeline said she wants Sylvio to have siblings, but not yet.

"Gusto kong magkaroon ng kapatid si Sylvio. Siguro mga two years ang pagitan," she added. (I want Sylvio to have a sibling. Maybe two years apart.)

After giving birth, Angeline described having a difficult time singing.

(It was a bit difficult for me and I couldn't even sing ABC. But I really forced myself. The anesthesia is still there in my body. You feel a little dizzy. But I managed it. I also felt that it was hard to be separated from him like that.)

* Working with Alex

Angeline shows her acting chops in the movie "Single Bells," also starring Alex Gonzaga-Morada. It's one of the eight official entries for the 2023 Summer Metro Manilla Film Festival.

Originally, she was scheduled to star in another MMFF movie, "Here Comes The Groom," but was already committed to "Single Bells."

Angeline describes Alex as a close friend. Prior to the pandemic, the two girls used to be together in the program  "I Can See Your Voice." Now Alex has been transferred to another show called "Laugh Out Loud."

(Sometimes she still remembers me on Mother's Day and my birthday. She makes sense but off-camera, he's just noisy and naughty.)

Aside from "I Can See Your Voice," Angeline can still be seen in "ASAP Natin 'To" and an upcoming show on PIE Channel.
