Lea Salonga laments rude comments on social media

"Marami talagang bastos sa social media." This is what awarded thespian-singer Lea Salonga shared with fans recently relating "very telling" comments. "They can (and do) reveal the commenters’ character, or lack thereof," she wrote on Facebook. "The disrespect, entitlement, rudeness, ignorance and idiocy contained therein makes one wonder about their real life circumstances to make them turn out that way," she added. She stressed: "Marami talagang bastos sa social media." "Salamat na lang at hindi lahat ng tao ganoon." Lea capped off her post with: "Protektahan ang inyong puso, isip at sikmura. Yun lang po." Though she didn't expound, many online users agreed with Lea's post. In fact, it was immediately bombarded with reactions. Singer Jed Madela even commented: "So true." "Agreed! Don’t let them dim your light! Or the light you bring to everyone! Thank you for the inspiration that you spread," an online user also related. "Some of us still need to learn the social media etiquette," another added. More than 300 Facebook users have shared the post.
