5 hurt as Bicol-bound bus rams pickup truck in Quezon

TAGKAWAYAN, Quezon – Five persons were injured after a passenger bus rammed their vehicle parked on the road shoulder on the Quirino Highway in Barangay San Vicente, here before dawn on Good Friday. Police identified the injured as Francisco Cunanan, driver of the pickup truck, and his passengers Christine Wong, Seth Cunanan, Cherrie Cunanan, and Frarie Ann Cunanan, 17, residents of Barangay San Isidro, Magarao, Camarines Sur. The victims parked their vehicle on the roadside to  rest after long hours of travel because of heavy traffic on Maundy Thursday. The driver of the Bicol-bound P & O Transportation bus, Albert Camposano, fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle and hit the victims’ pickup truck which fell into a 25-feet deep ravine. Responders rescued and brought the victims to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
