The incident happened in a house in Soldiers Hills Village in Barangay Putatan. Victim Baby Gan Lim, 34, businesswoman, told the police that she was lying in bed when she heard a screeching noise emanating from the sliding window and to her surprise, she saw the suspects inside their house and looking for her husband, Dario Españo Cedro. Lim said the suspects demanded to see her husband. They allegedly threatened to arrest her for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) if he husband did not show up. The suspects ordered her to call her husband and ask him to go home and speak with them. While waiting inside her house, one of the suspects took her cell phone and forced her to open her GCash account. Lim said the policemen opened her GCash account and transferred P50,000 to another GCash number. They also searched her house without presenting any official order and took cash amounting to P380,000 which was kept inside a travel bag under her bed and P9,000 cash inside her backpack. When her husband arrived, the police officers immediately accosted him and took her ATM card and asked her to accompany them to withdraw money. However, the ATM machines were offline. They returned to their house with the suspects who threatened to arrest them again if they did not send P50,000 to their GCash account. Before leaving, one of the suspects also took one helmet and P8,000 cash from a motorcycle compartment. The four suspects are all restricted from leaving the police station during the pendency of the robbery extortion complaint against them. "The SPD does not condone wrongdoings of our police personnel, appropriate criminal and administrative charges shall be filed against the involved personnel as warranted by evidence or testimonies", said Kraft.
