CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Thirty-three wanted personalities were arrested in a week-long manhunt operation from March 26 to April 1 in the Cordillera region.
The Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) said the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) apprehended 14 felons, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with 10, Abra PPO with five, Ifugao PPO with three, and Kalinga PPO with one.
Seven were listed as Most Wanted Persons (MWP), four on the municipal level, one on the city level, and two on the station level.
Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., Police Regional Office-Cordillera chief, said as a result of the intensified police visibility and campaign against criminality, 56 municipalities in the region and five police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in the 24 municipalities of Abra, three in Apayao, nine in Benguet, five in Kalinga, six in Mountain Province, and nine in Ifugao.
The Police Stations 1 (Naguilian), 2 (Camdas), 4 (Loakan), 6 (Aurora Hill), and 7 (Abanao) recorded zero crime incidents out of the 10 police stations in Baguio.
