Two Chinese nationals were arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by members of the Southern Police District (SPD) Special Operations Unit (DSOU) on April 6.
According to the SPD, the suspects, identified as Shiejie Fan, 27, and Dajun Yang, 35, were arrested at around 11:10 p.m. along Zoilo Hilario St., Pasay City.
The DSOU conducted the entrapment operation after Vu Kie Loong, 28, a Malaysian, reported that she received a call from her friend Tieu Vu Trinh, 31, a Vietnamese, that she was being held captive by the suspects.
Loong claimed that Trinh told her that she was not brought to the company where she was supposed to work.
She added that the victim told her that she was brought to several areas in Parañaque and Pasay and that the suspects demanded P300,000 for her release.
The suspects also allegedly threatened the victim that she would be sold to a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) company if no ransom will be given.
The suspects were brought to the SPD detention facility and charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention were filed against them.Â
