DOLORES, Quezon – A drug pusher was shot and wounded by the police after he allegedly resisted arrest and attacked them with a bolo during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday morning, March 5, in Sitio Bangkong Kahoy, Barangay Kinabuhayan, this town.
Police effected the arrest of the suspect, Allan Valera, 35, a farmer and a resident of Barangay Santa Lucia here, after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Instead of yielding, Valera pushed the arresting officer and ran to his farm where he got a bolo and charged at the police, prompting them to shoot him in the thigh.
He sustained bullet wounds and was taken to the hospital.
Recovered from the suspect was 2.5 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P51,000.
Police have filed a drug-related complaint against the suspect.
