Marcos greets GMA on her bday; extends thanks for her guidance

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Wednesday thanked former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo for her guidance as he extended to her his greetings on her 76th birthday. In a video message on his Facebook account, Marcos said his birthday greeting for the 14th Philippine president if he did not acknowledge "all the help and assistance and guidance" that she has extended to him. "There are many things I cannot imagine we would [have] been able to do if not for your advice and your guidance on many of those very important issues," Marcos told Arroyo whom he adressed as "President GMA." In some of his foreign trips, Marcos would bring along the former leader, whom he called as his "secret weapon" because of her broad expertise, especially in international relations. "So thank you so much for that... And I'll just (greet you) a very very happy birthday," Marcos added.
