DSWD defers AICS request, processing of assistance this Holy Week
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has advised the suspension of receiving requests and processing of assistance for the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program in its Central Office in Quezon City from Wednesday, April 5 to Monday, April 10.

This is in compliance with Proclamation No. 42, s. 2022, and Memorandum Circular No. 16, s 2023, which both defer government office operations in observance of Holy Week and the Day of Valor, said DSWD on Tuesday, April 4. The requests and processing of assistance will resume on Tuesday, April 11. AICS is one of DSWD's programs that provides medical, educational, burial, and other assistance to indigent Filipinos.
