Bacolod cops net P8.9-M shabu

BACOLOD CITY – Police seized 1,316.388 grams of suspected shabu worth P8,951,438 from March 1 to 31 in this city. Sixty-four operations were conducted in which 72 drug personalities, including seven high-value individuals (HVI), two newly-identified individuals, and 63 street-level individuals (SLI), were arrested. Seventy-five cases were filed for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against the suspects. Sixty individuals were apprehended in 22 operations for illegal gambling and 22 cases have been filed against the violators. Eighteen most wanted persons and 74 other wanted persons were nabbed in 92 operations. Five violators and nine homemade firearms were confiscated  in 16 operations in the campaign against loose firearms. Nine cases were filed against them for violation of RA 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Law.
