K-pop boy band Monsta X's Minhyuk enlists; enters camp where BTS' Jin trained

K-pop boy band Monsta X member Minhyuk, 29, enlisted in the military on April 4 to fulfill his mandatory duty as a citizen.  Minhyuk entered the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province in South Korea.  Monsta X's Minhyuk sporting a short hair for his military service (Instagram)
This is the same training camp where BTS’ Jin entered to undergo basic military training last Dec. 13.  Minhyuk will serve as an active duty soldier and is the second member of Monsta X to enlist in the military after Shownu in July 2021.  In a letter to fans, Minhyuk said, "I don't think I'll be able to see you for a while because of my military duty on April 4.”  "I'm already excited to use my future time as a time to become stronger and become a better Minhyuk and receive greater love from Monbebe [fans]. And I'm not leaving far away, so please don't be too sad,” he said.  Minhyuk said, "I will come back as a healthy and cool person in my body and mind during the time I can't see you. Monbebe, I love you so much. Thank you. Let's meet next year with a smile. I'll be back soon.’  Shownu took time to send Minhyuk off to his military enlistment.
