The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday, April 13, recorded 8,571 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The additional 8,000 new cases brought the total number of cases in the country to 884,783.
Total recoveries was at 703,963 with 400 new recoveries while total deaths was at 15,286 with 137 new deaths.
Of the 165,534 active cases, 96.9 percent are mild, 1.8 percent asymptomatic, 0.4 percent critical, severe 0.5 percent and 0.31 percent moderate.
The DOH said 13 duplicates were removed from the total case count and eight of these are recoveries.
"Moreover, 54 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation," said the Health department.
The DOH said nine labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS) on April 12, 2021.
