
The country's total number of confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases is now at 1,450,110 after the Department of Health (DOH) logged 4,289 new cases on Wednesday, July 7.
Active cases in the country stood at 47,519. This figure is equivalent to 3.3 percent of the total case count, the DOH's latest case bulletin showed.
Of the active infections, 90.4 percent have mild symptoms, 4.1 percent have no symptoms, 1.6 percent are critical, 2.3 percent are in severe condition, and 1.68 percent are in moderate condition.
The recovery count also rose to 1,377,132 after 6,399 more people were tagged as recovered. The total represents 95 percent of the country's overall tally.
The DOH also recorded 164 new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the death toll to 25,459. The Philippines' case fatality rate is at 1.76 percent.
