Overseas Filipinos have recorded 18 new COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) confirmed cases, 12 new recoveries, and one new fatality, the Department of Foreign Affairs said in a report on Monday.

The additional confirmed cases and recoveries were from Asia and the Pacific, while the lone death was from the Americas, according to the DFA report.
For the majority of the period since the pandemic started in February this year, the Middle East and Africa remain as the combined regions with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases (7,544), under treatment (2,334), recoveries (4,657), and deaths (553), respectively.
As of December 7, 2020, the total number of COVID-19 cases involving overseas Filipinos is 11,692. Of that total, 3,268 are under treatment, 7,577 have recovered, and 847 died due to coronavirus infections.
Along with its Foreign Service Posts, the DFA assured it will continue to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amidst the pandemic.
