DAVAO CITY - Over 250,000 COVID-19 doses have been administered to vaccine recipients here, data from the Davao City Vaccination Cluster showed.
Based on the data as of June 30, a total of 257,253 have been given to vaccine recipients from A1 up to A5 categories. Of the total doses given, 211,425 were first doses, while 45,828 were second doses.

Among those fully vaccinated include 26,924 health care workers from the priority A1 group, 11,917 senior citizens in the A2 group, 6,847 persons with comorbidities in the A3 group, and 140 residents in IP communities who are part of the A5 group.
Meanwhile, the city government also kicked off its COVID-19 inoculation drive to the A4 group. As of June 30, a total of 6,647 essential workers received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccination.
Davao City Health Office (CHO) acting head Dr. Ashley Lopez said Wednesday, June 30 that the city government caters to around 10,000 vaccinees per day on average provided that there is enough supply of vaccine doses.
“General assessment is very good, the response of the people is very good. Ang commitment and compliance sa tao is excellent. Nagadugay-nagadugay, kini atong ongoing vaccination, nagadaghan ang nituo ani atong bakuna kontra Covid (Our general assessment is good, the response of the people is very good. The commitment and compliance of the people are excellent. Since we started our inoculation program, the vaccine acceptance among people has been increasing),” Lopez said during the COVID-19 Alert radio program last Wednesday.
“Kung mas daghan ang nagaparticipate mas dali nato makuha ang atong target nga 70 percent or 1.2 million (The more we have participating individuals, the faster we can achieve our target of 70 percent or 1.2 million),” he added.
The city government aims to fully vaccinate at least 1.2 million individuals or 70% of the total population.
As of July 1, Davao City has recorded 274 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of recorded cases since the start of the pandemic to 24,923. The city currently has a total of 4,649 active cases and recorded a total of 19,398 recoveries and 876 deaths.
