Anti-crime drive nets 19 individuals in Bulacan


A total of 19 individuals were arrested by Bulacan police during their anti-crime drive on Saturday, April 29.

Police said they arrested 10 wanted felons, six suspected drug peddlers, and three carnapping suspects.

Based on the reports submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, a joint follow-up operation conducted by the City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) and Sta Maria police resulted in the arrest of three suspects in connection with a carnapping incident that occurred on April 24, at CSJDM, Bulacan.

Probers said the victim was riding her motorcycle when two motorcycles blocked her path. They said the suspects pointed a pellet gun at her and then stole her motorcycle. 

The arrested suspects were identified as Rudy Gonzalo, 41; Alexander Bensan, 23, and Chozen Cruz, 28, all from Rodriguez, Province of Rizal. 

Further investigation revealed that they were also involved in another carnapping incident on the same day. 

Appropriate criminal charges have been filed against them. The stolen motorcycle was also recovered during the operation.

Meanwhile, operations carried on by the tracker teams of the Bulacan Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Second Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Meycauayan City, Balagtas, Marilao, Malolos City, CSJDM, and San Rafael police successfully tracked down and apprehended 10 felons wanted for various crimes and offenses.

Furthermore, a drug bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Marilao police led to the arrest of Mark Edward Parales, John Rodney Palaran, and Jolan Saylago, all from Lambakin, Marilao. 

The drug suspects were arrested after a consummated drug trade with the police operatives in Barangay Tambubong, San Rafael.

Meanwhile, three more drug peddlers identified as Terry John Luis, Ananias Robledo, and Junell Rionico, were arrested by Pulilan police in Barangay Tinejero, Pulilan. 

Confiscated were a total of 13 sachets of suspected shabu and marked money.

The Bulacan police force is showing unwavering determination in their relentless pursuit of all types of criminal activity, following the directive of Police Regional Office III (PRO3) Regional Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., to ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
