PRO-2 vows peaceful Labor Day commemoration

CAMP Marcelo A. Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – The Police Regional Office-2 has vowed a peaceful and safe observance of Labor Day. Police Brig. Gen. Percival A. Rumbaoa, PRO-2 director, ordered maximum police presence in Region 2, particularly in areas where different sectoral groups, particularly the labor sector, will hold rallies. PRO-2 has tapped 98 police officers from the regional headquarters as Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF). "Though Cagayan Valley is a relatively peaceful region, we should not be complacent with our safety and security measures," Rumbaoa said. He ordered police commanders in the region to coordinate with other line agencies and force multipliers to guarantee a safe May 1 commemoration.
