DOH-Calabarzon logs 36 new Covid cases

The Department of Health (DOH)-Center for Health Education and Promotion in Region 4-A (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon or the Calabarzon area) recorded 36 new Covid-19 cases as of Friday, April 28. There are 324 active Covid cases in the region as of April 28, with Cavite having 124 active and zero new cases; Laguna, 90 active and 12 new cases; Batangas, 18 active and 11 new cases; Rizal, 44 active and 10 new cases; Quezon, eight active and two new cases; and Lucena City, four active and one new case. The DOH-Calabarzon has logged a total of 550,401 Covid cases, with 535,895 recoveries and 50 new recoveries, and 14,182 fatalities and one new death. Anti-Covid strategies have been intensified in the region with the BIDA program – B-est fit na mask, suotin sa lahat ng oras (Wear best fitting mask at all times); I-wasang makihalubilo kung masama ang pakiramdam (Avoid mingling when you don’t feel well); D-oblehin ang proteksyon sa tulong ng bakuna ([Get vaccinated to bouble your protection] primary series plus booster), at A-irflow ay panatilihin sa lahat ng lugar (Maintain good airflow in all places at all times). Health officials reminded the public to observe minimum public health standards against the disease.
