'Salvage' victim found in Negros

BACOLOD CITY – The body of a man believed to be a victim of “salvage” or summary execution was discovered in a sack in Barangay Damsite, Murcia, Negros Occidental on Friday, March 31. Major Joeil Reclamado, Murcia police chief, said the sack was dumped in a concrete pipe where human skeletons were also found early this month. Reclamado said the victim was naked and already bloated. He said they are looking into a possibility that the two incidents might be perpetrated by the same persons or it could also be just incidental. The victim remains unidentified as of Sunday afternoon, April 2, according to Reclamado.
