Motorcycle rider killed in Negros road crash

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A motorcycle rider died after he collided with a tricycle in Purok Mahirup, Barangay Busay, Bago City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, April 1. Police identified the fatality as Rolando Suello, 48, of Barangay Mansilingan here.

Jaro said witnesses told police that Suello reportedly came from a birth anniversary party. But he could not confirm if the victim was indeed under the influence of liquor at that time. The victim was declared dead in a hospital while the tricycle driver and the passengers suffered minor injuries. Jaro said the tricycle driver was released from police custody on Sunday, April 2, after the lapse of the 12-hour reglementary detention. He said that no charges were filed against the tricycle driver following a settlement.
