Dasmariñas City signs MOA for online payment system for entrepreneurs
CAVITE – The city government of Dasmariñas signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) that will allow entrepreneurs to settle their business permit fees through Starpay digital payment system.
Mayor Jennifer Austria-Barzaga and Starpay head of Growth Richard Rosettes signed the MOA, together with Starpay partner specialist head Warren Encarnacion.
The partnership complements the city’s Electronic (Online) Business One Stop Shop (EBOSS), recently launched by the city’s Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO).
EBOSS allows taxpayers and entrepreneurs to complete official forms and comply with documentary requirements online. With the new agreement, they can now also settle their business permit application and renewal fees remotely.
“The public has been very receptive because the platform is user-friendly and very convenient,” Starpay Product and Marketing head Ryan Uy said in a statement.
Regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Starpay is used by more than seven million users, including shoppers who prefer cashless retail transactions in public markets in Baguio, Davao, Tagbilaran, and Pasig.
