'Arrrgh!': Clarita Carlos frustrated over pay disparity between finance execs and health workers
Professor Clarita Carlos couldn't help but express frustration on Monday, April 3 over the huge disparity in pay between the country’s "finance officials" and health workers.
In a Facebook post, the former national security adviser said: "That reportedly, some finance officials earn P42M p.a. (per annum), while our health workers responsible for our health earn a pittance should telegraph to us something..."
"Arrrgh!" Carlos added, perfectly encapsulating her feelings on the matter. She did not specify the finance officials that she was referring to.

In the comments section of her post, Carlos is seen agreeing with netizen Jose Oliveros, who wrote: "And that Php42M is only from their salaries. What about other perks and non-cash benefits?" "And not only are our health workers who take care of our health, public school teachers responsible for educating future adult citizens and leaders of this country and who work almost 24/7 daily year round (yes, even during breaks are also earning pittance)," Oliveros further said. Carlos replied, "Exactly." Carlos is House Speaker Martin Romualdez's chief policy adviser on security and defense concerns.
