116 couples tie the knot in Las Piñas 'Kasalang Bayan'

A total of 116 couples tied the knot in "Kasalang Bayan" or mass wedding sponsored by the Las Piñas City government on Friday, March 31, as part of the celebration of the city's 26th cityhood and 116th founding anniversary. The mass wedding, presided over by Vice Mayor April Aguilar, was held at the Verdant covered court in Barangay Pamplona III, Las Piñas City. The couples were also given free wedding rings, cakes, wines and food packs, courtesy of the local government. Aguilar said through the “Kasalang Bayan” program of the city government, residents enjoy a cost-free wedding from the filing of applications to notarizations and marriage certificates. She said Mayor Imelda Aguilar donated the gifts provided to the couples who joined in the Kasalang Bayan.
