Former child actress Xyriel Manabat is all grown up. And how. She is actually gaining huge notice for it, with many making much ado of her ample curves. Note that she even made it to Goggle’s Top 10 most searched female celebrities list last year.
Asked about it recently, she said, “Marami po kasi sa kanila is ang tumatak e yung batang version ko po sa mga teleserye na ‘Momay’ at ‘100 Days To Heaven.’ So hindi pa siguro sila sanay na makita akong ganito.” As to lewd innuendos being sent her way, she said, “Actually po iniiwasan ko na (basahin).  Ang binabasa ko na lang yung mga comments tungkol sa mga performances ko ganyan pero about my body hindi na po. Pinoprotektahan ko po ang mental health ko.” There are many who are expecting her to take on more daring, mature roles. Would she if ever? “Kung necessity po siya sa story or sa role, okay lang po,” she said. “Ayoko lang yung magpapa-sexy lang na walang relevance whatsoever just for the sake of it.” Many are commending her portrayal as Tonet in “Dirty Linen.” She reacted, “Siyempre nakakatuwa po kasi kahit kontrabida ako napapansin po ako. Gusto ko po talaga kasing makilala as someone dedicated to my craft as actress.”
