Rep. Mark Enverga recently distributed assistance to farmers and fishermen affected by calamities in the island-municipalities of Burdeos and Pollilo in Quezon.
ENVERGA Enverga turned over 80 fishing boats to fishermen and 229 sacks of fertilizers and agricultural inputs such as hybrid seeds, foliar fertilizers, growth enhancers, black nets, fungicides, vegetable seeds, and garden and knapsack sprayers to farmers from the Taluong Irrigators Association in Polillo. He also handed over hand tractors with trailers and transplanters and floating tillers to the association in support of the Department of Agriculture led by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr., Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), and Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech). Enverga distributed food packs, marine engines, and agricultural interventions to 1,800 farmers and fishermen in Burdeos. About 1,350 residents are beneficiaries of the Aid to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the two island-municipalities facilitated by Enverga.
