CEBU CITY – At least 400 apprehensions were made when the Land Transportation Office-Central Visayas (LTO-7) conducted a five-day random road worthiness inspection in Bohol province.

(Photo from LTO-Central Visayas) The series of random inspections, which started last Monday, April 24, led to the issuance of 335 electronic Temporary Operator’s Permits (e-TOP). Some 135 vehicles were also impounded for various violations. Victor Caindec, chief of LTO-7, said 111 of the impounded vehicles were motorcycles. The random inspections were conducted in Tagbilaran City and in the municipalities of Loon, Baclayon, Alburquerque, Jagna, Dauis, Panglao, Danao, and Talibon. Major violations during the apprehensions included driving without a valid license, driving without a valid vehicle, or with an expired registration. Caindec said the operations were conducted in coordination with the Bohol Provincial Police Office led by provincial director Police Col. Lorenzo Batuan.
