Park Eun-bin of the hit drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” emerged as the biggest winner in the TV category when she took home the “daesang” or grand prize, the highest honor.

When her name was called, Park Eun-bin was visibly stunned and was in tears.

“Thank you for giving me the award. Thanks to the many people who loved ‘Woo Young-woo’, I received the award. Thank you to everyone who watched. I received a lot of love and attention beyond everyone’s expectations. In fact, I don’t think I would be here without your love,” she said as she accepted the award.

“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” also won best director for Yoo In-shik.

While Park Eun-bin won the grand prize, Song Hye-kyo bagged the best actress award for her role as Moon Dong-eun in Netflix’s “The Glory.”

“I really wanted to receive (the award),” said Song Hye-kyo in her acceptance speech. This is the first time in her career that she won a best actress award at the Baeksang Arts Awards. She previously won most popular actress twice.

She added, “I remember all the production crew of ‘The Glory’, but without them, I don’t think there would be Moon Dong-eun. I am grateful to the great actors who have been with me, the director who has filled in what Moon Dong-eun lacks, and the fans.”

“I did two works with (writer) Kim Eun-sook, and both received so much love. Kim Eun-sook's work is an honor to me. Thank you so much for entrusting me with Moon Dong-eun. It was difficult and painful while acting, but I wanted to act even harder. I will work harder in the future,” she said.

“The Glory” also won best drama and best supporting actress for Lim Ji-yeon, who thanked her boyfriend, actor Lee Do-hyun, in her acceptance speech.

"I am so very grateful to (Song) Hye-kyo (Yeom) Hye-ran, (Jung) Sung-il, my beloved perpetrator friends, and even (Lee) Do-hyun, who always warmly accepted my shortcomings,” she said.

The 59th Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony was organized by Ilgan Sports and JTBC Plus.
