LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a P3.8-million road project that improved access to tourist spots in Piddig, this province.
DPWH-Region 1 (Ilocos) Director Ronnel M. Tan said that the Maruaya road project has fast-tracked the mobility of residents and tourists to the Piddig Sunflower Farm, Gregorio Integrated Farm, and Piddig Food Factory School and Agro-Tourism Farm.
“The transport of agricultural products, other goods, and social services using the enhanced Maruaya road has become easier, safer, and faster going to the business centers,” Tan added.
Tan said the P3.8-million, 160-meter project with a masonry slope protection was built by the Ilocos Norte First District Engineering Office led by District Engineer Glenn C. Miguel.
