Modern municipal police station inaugurated in Dinagat Islands

BUTUAN CITY – The Police Regional Office-13 inaugurated a modern police station in the coastal town of Tubajon, Dinagat Islands province, on Thursday, April 27.

A part of the Philippine National Police (PNP) modernization program, the new Tubajon Municipal Police Station (MPS) is the second police station built  since Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II assumed the leadership of PRO-13 six months ago. The first was the Malimono MPS earlier this month.

The construction of the 402.50-square meter and three-story police station was funded by the National Expenditure Program for Fiscal Year 2022 for P6,452,496.23.

“To the personnel of Tubajon MPS, endure the challenges and risks in the uniformed service and keep going on extra miles,” said Labra in his message.

“Enforce the law courteously without fear or favor, never employing unnecessary force and never accepting gratuities in return,” Labra added.

“Aside of our relentless drive against all forms of criminality, PRO 13 also wants to focus on addressing the current demands of the various places particularly in far-flung areas, and the enhancement station buildings and security measures are in line with program thrust of the PNP.”

Aside of the command group of PRO-13, the inauguration of the Tubajon MPS was also attended by local officials and the PRO-13 Regional Logistics and Research and Development Division (RLRDD) led by its deputy chief  Police Lt. Col. Edsel M. Caramonte and Dinagat Islands Police Provincial Office led by Police Col. Ruben B. delos Santos.
