Man wanted for sexual assault in Leyte arrested in Pasay City

A 25-year-old man wanted for sexual assault in Mayorga, Leyte was arrested on April 26 in Pasay City. The police said the suspect, identified as Ronald Ellenas, tagged as the Top 2 wanted person, was arrested at around 1:00 p.m. along Almazor St. Barangay 185, Pasay City. Investigation showed that members of the Mayorga municipal police station coordinated with the Pasay City police Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS), Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) for the arrest of Ellenas. Ellenas reportedly went into hiding after a warrant of arrest was issued against him on August 9, 2022 for sexual assault. The warrant of arrest was issued by  Presiding Judge Dexter Lazarte Aguilar of the 8thJudicial Region, Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 10 Abuyog, Leyte, with bail recommended at P120,000.  .
