ROSARIO, Batangas – A man buying groceries in a store at the public market here was gunned down by two men onboard a motorcycle on Wednesday afternoon, April 26.
Police identified the victim as Joel Umali.
Umali was shot twice and died on the spot.
Witnesses said the motorcycle driver was wearing a black jacket, blue pants, and half-face helmet, while his back rider was clad in a gray jacket.
Suspects sped off toward an unknown direction.
Two fired cartridge cases for a caliber .45 were found in the crime scene.
Police are conducting a follow-up operation and reviewing surveillance footage to find clues about the gunmen.
