Farmer hacks son to death over videoke mic in Quezon

MULANAY, Quezon – A 48-year-old farmer allegedly hacked his 27-year-old son to death over a videoke microphone during a drinking spree in their house in Sitio Pantay, Barangay Ibabang Yuni, this town, on Wednesday evening, April 26. Police identified the victim as farmer Reynante Tolda. Investigation said the victim and the suspect, Wilfredo Tolda, were drunk and struggled for the microphone when the song “Kung Sakaling Ikaw ay Lalayo” (If You are Going Away) played. Wilfredo was peeved and got a bolo. He hacked his in the body multiple times, killing him on the spot. The suspect fled and is the subject of a police manhunt. Police are preparing parricide charges against the suspect.
