Zamboanga City receives P6-M worth of anti-terrorism equipment from US


ZAMBOANGA CITY – This city received P6-million worth of anti-terrorism equipment from the United States State Department.

The equipment was showcased by the Zamboanga City police during the flag ceremony on Monday, April 24.

Equipment includes bomb suits, X-ray machines to detect improvised explosive devices, bag tactical kits, and bomb identification equipment.

Mayor John Dalipe thanked the US government for the donation.

He said the newly donated equipment will certainly strengthen counter-terrorism capabilities of the Explosive and Ordnance team of the local police.
