Two drug pushers nabbed in Baguio City buy-bust yield P6.8-million worth of marijuana
BAGUIO CITY – About P6,840,000 worth of marijuana were recovered from two drug suspects during a follow-up operation conducted by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bulacan agents and local police along Kennon Road, Barangay Camp 7 here on Wednesday, April. 26.
The suspects were identified as Arnold Fabian Atonen, 27, of La Trinidad, Benguet, and Daryl Collera of Poblacion, Bakun, Benguet.
A team leader of PDEA-Bulacan said that the operation was a follow-up to a successful raid on April 12 which resulted in the seizure of 15 kilos of marijuana worth P1,700,000.
Atonen and Collera yielded 57 pieces of elongated tape-wrapped packaging containing more or less 57 kilos of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops amounting to P6,840,000.
Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are now being readied for filing in court against the suspects.
