Did you know that Gisele Bundchen, one of the greatest supermodels in the world, was scouted while she was on her way to get a hamburger? If she hadn't craved a burger that day, who knows where she would be right now? It could be chance or fate, but sometimes, opportunity actually presents itself, just like how Vogue is inviting aspiring models to apply for their open casting happening from April 19 to May 8, 2023. Vogue Open Casting encourages and supports a new generation of models who embody the modern ideal of beauty. Femme-identifying individuals who are 18 years old or older qualify, whether signed with an agency or not. Applicants just have to submit a few requirements on the Open Casting Portal, free of charge.
In a press release, Anna Wintour, chief content officer at Condé Nast and Global Editorial Director at Vogue, said, "Open Casting is an initiative that will foster the next generation of Vogue talent, with particular attention to the need for more diverse and inclusive representation in fashion. We can't wait to meet them."
