During the command conference, Gaces was briefed on the current peace and order situation in the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon area, one highly urbanized city in Lucena) area as the different regional staff took turns in presenting the operational accomplishments and future activities of the police regional office. In his guidance, Gaces called on the support of everyone in his leadership as PRO-Calabarzon ushers in a safer and more secure environment. “As a family, let us work together,” he said. Gaces said his plans and programs are aligned with the plans and programs of the chief Philippine National Police, Police Gen. Benjamin C. Acorda Jr. “Let us always do the right thing and let us hate crimes and fight criminals,” said Gaces, quoting Acorda.
