Drug den maintainer, two cohorts nabbed during raid in South Cotabato
T’BOLI, South Cotabato – Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and policemen raided a suspected drug den in Barangay New Dumangas here on Tuesday, April 25, which led to the arrest of its maintainer and two other cohorts.
PDEA-12 Director Aileen Lovitos identified the suspects as Junriel Brillantes Caballero, 34, the alleged drug maintainer, and his two cohorts, Cyril Gonzaga Simpao, 29, and Reynaldo Rellon, 42, all residents of Barangay New Dumangas.
Seized from the suspects were 11 grams of suspected shabu worth P75,000.
Authorities said Brillantes had been under surveillance for the past month since they learned of his involvement in the illegal drugs trade.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the suspects who are presently detained at the PDEA custodial facility.
