BACOLOD CITY – A 35-year-old call center agent and paralegal officer of a business processing outsourcing employees group was found dead with 20 stab wounds in a nipa hut in Purok Villa Rosario, Barangay Alijis here on Monday, April 24.
Police are exploring all angles to determine the motive behind the killing of Alex Dolorosa of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
His body was found three days after he went missing on Friday, April 21.
Police Capt. Edward Bolivar, head of Police Station 7, said they suspect that Dolorosa was robbed since his motorcycle and personal belongings were reportedly missing.
Bolivar said the victim might have been killed in the nipa hut due to visible bloodstains.
Aside from possible robbery-holdup, police are also looking into personal as motive for the crime, a person who might be angry enough with the victim to commit the crime.
Militant group Anakbayan on Tuesday, April 25, condemned the killing of Dolorosa whom they claimed to be a paralegal officer of the Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) Industry Employees Network (BIEN).
Anakbayan demanded the immediate investigation of Dolorosa's death which they claimed to be linked to his continued service not only to his fellow BPO workers but also of the masses at large.
“This is a direct attack on workers who are fighting for their rights,” the group said.
